Image Licensing & Usage Policy

Original photography is protected intellectual property under U.S. copyright law. I retain copyright in my original photographs unless otherwise agreed in writing. No usage rights are granted unless expressly authorized in writing, except where otherwise permitted by law.
Unauthorized use is not permitted.
PERMISSION & LICENSING REQUIREMENTS
A written license is generally required before reproducing, publishing, distributing, displaying, or otherwise using images, except for the limited personal sharing expressly permitted below or uses otherwise permitted by law.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Venue, festival, or event promotion
Artist, tour, or music marketing
Business, brand, or commercial advertising
Editorial publication and media use
Real estate and property listings
Tourism, municipal, and organizational marketing
Social media marketing for businesses and organizations

PERSONAL SHARING (LIMITED PERMISSION)
Music artists may share images on their personal, non-commercial social media accounts under the following conditions:
No promotional or commercial intent, including ticket sales, tour promotion, merchandise, or advertising.
Full photographer credit is provided through a tag or caption attribution.
Images are not significantly altered, including heavy editing, filters, or removal of an existing watermark.
This limited permission does not extend to venues, promoters, management, record labels, businesses, or other organizations. All other uses require appropriate authorization.
COMMERCIAL & PROMOTIONAL USE
Commercial or promotional use includes any use intended to promote a business, product, service, event, or organization, or otherwise support commercial activity. Such use requires prior written authorization.
Examples include:
Marketing campaigns (digital or print)
Press kits, EPKs, and promotional materials
Advertising and sponsored content
Merchandise, album artwork, and branding
Paid social media and boosted posts
Business websites and commercial marketing materials
No commercial or promotional use is authorized without prior written permission, except where otherwise permitted by law.
LICENSING RATES & TERMS
Licensing fees depend on the intended use, distribution, duration, and scope of the license.
Typical starting rates:
Artist / EPK / Press Use (1 year): $300 per image
Merchandise / Product Use: $750 per image
Album Artwork / Physical Media: Custom quote based on format, distribution, production quantity, and intended use.
Commercial Campaigns: Custom quote required.
The listed prices are starting rates. Final pricing and licensing terms are determined by the specific usage, distribution, and licensing requirements.
Retroactive licensing for unauthorized past use may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Availability and terms are subject to review and approval. A retroactive license is not automatically offered or guaranteed.
LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY LICENSING
Landscape photography is available for licensing for commercial, editorial, tourism, and promotional use, including:
Tourism boards and municipalities
Real estate professionals and developers
Businesses and marketing agencies
Hospitality and travel brands
Licensing terms are based on the intended use, distribution, duration, and audience reach. Pricing is provided after review of the proposed usage.
UNAUTHORIZED USE
Use of images without authorization may constitute copyright infringement, unless otherwise permitted by law.
Depending on the circumstances, unauthorized use may be addressed through removal, retroactive licensing, or other appropriate action.
Retroactive licensing may be offered for certain unauthorized uses, at my discretion. It is one possible way to resolve past use and is not automatically offered or guaranteed.
I reserve the right to seek removal of unauthorized uses and to pursue other available remedies, including referring infringement matters to legal counsel. Offering or discussing a retroactive license does not obligate me to grant one or limit my ability to pursue other available remedies.
Continued use is not authorized unless expressly covered by a written license.
HOW TO REQUEST A LICENSE
To request usage rights, please provide the following information through the licensing request form:
Your name and email address
Organization or business name, if applicable
Specific image(s) requested
Intended use
Website or social media profile
Where the image will appear (website, print, social media, newsletter, etc.)
Requested licensing duration
Deadline, if applicable
Any additional details about the proposed use
