Ekoostik Hookah at Kent Stage - Show Review (2022)

The Kent Stage - Kent, Ohio

Last week I hopped in the van with Creamery Station for their trip to Ohio. They had the honor of opening for the legendary Ekoostik Hookah in the beautiful theater that is The Kent Stage!

The two bands are a great fit musically, so the guys in Creamery Station were very excited to warm up the stage for such a talented group of musicians that have been rocking the stage for over 20 years now.

As the opener, naturally Creamery Station didn’t have a lot of time to work with, but they came out swinging and didn’t stop. This was much to the delight of the attendees who were at the doors early and caught their set. I am sure they made some new fans in Ohio.

Ekoostik Hookah followed and delivered as expected! It must be noted that this was a unique show for them. Their lead guitarist Steve Sweney, is recovering from a medical issue, so on this night they called in Luke Bergan(Yosemight) to fill in.

While I’m sure the band was adapting on the fly, they made it look pretty darn easy! The jams and energy were great all night.
